Errors after move to other host
 
Hi,

I am having trouble reactivating my forum after a move to a different provider.
Database import/export went fine. I am able to log into the admincp, so userauthentication works. I can do a DB check, etc, etc...

All I have now is a blank page on my /forum (and also CMPS front page).
After editting the config.php and adding the line "ini_set('display_errors', true);" I got several errors instead of a blank page, so something is definitely wrong.

I checked the forumpath with the forumpath.php script, it is set correctly. Also the username and password of the DB should be fine....

I surely hope anyone can help me out :(

Ow... I also performed a upgrade again to 3.6.8P2

The functions_forumlist.php error is from a plugin you are using:
eval('$forumbits .= "' . fetch_template("forumhome_forumbit_level$depth$tem pext") . '";');

Try disabling your plugins one by one and see if the error stops.

Same with the global one (line 554):
($hook = vBulletinHook::fetch_hook('parse_templates')) ? eval($hook) : false;

Does the errors explain a blank page after login? Whe I do not log in, i get a message the forum is turned off, without the graphics.

Disabled all the products and changed to default style... no results...

Try creating a New Style. Styles & Templates -> Style Manager -> Add New Style. Your problems seem to be style related, maybe they were not updated correctly. Does it work now?

Did your 3.6.8 PL2 upgrade go successfully?

Hi,

Thanks for the help and tips Opserty / Lynne.
First answer the question. I updated the forum, and it went ok. Also tried uploading a new style, same problems. The problems were database related.

I have reinstalled vBulletin and inserted all my relevant data into the new database. (posts, thread info, users, etc)

All works fine now, all we have to do now is install all the hacks again... will take another few hours of work, but I at least have all my data :D
