Are you allowed to use paint.net to make forum icons, banners, gradients and use them on any vbulletin forum without any water markings etc...?
|
If paint.net do require it, the images you use on your forums are your business & no concern of jelsofts.
|
Why wouldn't you be able to? Does paint.net have a terms of service? If they catch you and you didn't credit them for the graphics then you would have legal issues. Other than that I don't see the problem.

But the banner is got nothing to do with paint.net other than the fact it is made in that program. any ideas? |
Hey kj_202,
As the program has nothing to do with the banner than the fact it is made in the program, you don't need to put any kind of watermark. Ryan |

E.g. Paint.net has many brushes, then you would need a watermark etc... But if u made a banner or forum icon etc... for lets say a online game in paint.net, then it don't need any watermark etc... It can be uploaded to a vbulletin forum straight away? Correct me if I am wrong please or tell me if I am correct :) |
If Paint.net requires you to have a watermark on the images, then you will need a watermark. If it doesn't say so, you don't.

I understand it now, thanks to you people :), I think personally it would be best for me not to use it. The question that triggered my mind and got me confused has been answered, thanks once again. |
