Database Size - Pruning
Dear Everyone,
My database is now around 500 Megs in size. I'm currently hosting on a VPS in Russia and get frequent complains from folks about speed although for me, (I'm in India) it seems ok. My question, should I prune this database? Will that increase speed? Thanks |
If it seems to perform decent from 1 location and slow from another, then your database is probably not the cause.

get a better host - vps are fine but they are over sold and u be sharing a server along with other people.
|
And do not prune the database. You want more and not less content. Find another solution :)

500 mb's is not a lot. If your server cannot manage it, get a new one, but leave your DB alone.
