What would be great is a Webmail function where users could use their username as a Webmail account on the site.
Anyone working on this? And, is it possible? As I was looking for a webmail program, I thought I remember seeing one being built in MySQL/PHP, but can't remember what is was called anymore. I eventually settled for BigMailBox, and will probably use Everyone.net for another site, unless there is the possibility of added it to vB. |
I think John's intent is to develop a full community suite around vB. I don't think that the e-mail and chat additions will be happening the in the next few weeks, but he did say he would like to do them eventually.

I found this site that has PHP/MySQL based email that hooks into current databases, so this could be a 'direction' to go in. :)
http://gossamer-threads.com/scripts/webmail/ I'm currently using a separate webmail solution - bigmailbox.com for one site, and may use everyone.net on another site. But would love to have my users only need one login process. Patience, patience, patience |
acutally, it's PERL/mySQL
it does look pretty sharp, though... |
*bump*
Just wondering if there has been any development of a webmail integration with the forums. |
