Feature req: Post thread in multiple forums with permanent redirects.

Although it already possible for a moderator to move threads around with permanent redirects, it is not possible for members to post a thread in multiple forums, nor solve this with permanent redirects.

Please consider coding a function in newthread.php where members can select multiple forums to post the thread in. In reality the thread would only be posted once, but with permanent redirects in one or multiple forums.

The function to post threads in multiple forums has been requested many times, but was often deemed impossible. With the above construction, this should be possible to code.

Was this ever solved? I've looked around the the mod but can't find it anywhere.

No. There is no functionality to place threads in multiple forums or have multiple redirects.

The only modification that does something in this direction shows all threads in that are in a forum its subforums. So the parent forum shows all threads that reside in its children.

I still very much need a solution to have a thread reside in multiple forums.

Those are amazing addons BirdOPrey. I wish you could find a solution to mirror threads in selected forums.

A mod that will allow showing a thread in multiple forums, with the option to choose which forums, is something I'd like very much.
