imageinfo failed when uploading attachment
 

When I upload an attachment I get the following error

imageinfo failed:

I have imagemagick installed and my path to identify and convert is correct. I wish to use imagemagick rather than GD. I run a VPS so have access, but I'm not sure what I need to do.

Please could someone offer me guidance?

Usually there will be a reason behind the error message.

Start by making sure you have set the correct path to the I.M. binaries in your vBulletin Options.

Additionally:
- Which vB version are you using?
- Any image related modifications installed?

It was working correctly, but moved to a new VPS. The IM binaries are definately correct cos I checked the path via SSH

I am running 3.6.8

I've had to remove things like escapeshellarg from php.ini to even get this far

Can you enable public display of PHP-Info and provide me with a link to your forum?

I didn't see anything obviously wrong in the PHP config.

You might want to have a look on the vBulletin.com forum, there are a few threads on configuring and troubleshooting ImageMagick.

If that doesn't bring a solution, please consult your hosting company on the IM implementation on their server.

If all that fails, i suggest you open a support ticket, so we can have a more detailed look on your server.

I was getting the same Error Message while trying to Upload a Profile Image, and the reason was because of Setting in "Image Settings" -> "Image Processing Library" -> the Option "ImageMagick 6", instead of the Option "GD"!! :cool:

I stablished that "ImageMagick 6" Option because Spammer Bots were Registering in my Forums, and somehow "ImageMagick 6" Image Verification stopped them a little.

I'll check what you said in vbulletin.com for "configuring and troubleshooting ImageMagick"!! ;)
