Reported Post Auto-Hides
I'm sure you guys have used YouTube, and when someone marks a comment as spam or if it gets a low enough rating it will auto-hide to prevent people from accidentally viewing it.
I'd like a hack that enabled an administrator to define how many reports would be needed to auto-hide a post. If a user reports a post, a message is sent to all of the moderators, but if let's say, two people report the post, the post is placed into moderation for a staff member to approve it. Once a moderator approves it, the post can't be reported anymore (the report button could disappear) and it won't appear again until edited. A few user group permissions would be nice, also. Perhaps an administrator could define who's post were exempt from being auto-hidden, if a auto-hidden post could be expanded or if it would remain unvewable until a moderator approves it, etc. This is probably a difficult hack, but I think it'd really help in an effort to combat spam... |
