Admin can't access all of admin panel?

Hello,

In order to lower my workload, I assigned a new admin to my website.

For some reason he can only see part of the admin panel (I logged in as him and yup, only a small portion of the panel is there) and he can't approve new members (the biggest reason why I needed another admin).

I changed his usergroup to "administrator" as that is what my usergroup is.

Why can I access all this and not him?

Did you set his permissions?

terracore 02-14-2008 06:48 PM

Permissions? lol

Sorry, I am a not that computer savvy 29 year old woman!

Where would the permissions be located?

Boofo 02-14-2008 06:50 PM

Should be at the top of his profile in the Admin CP. Or the drop down. As far as them having all the permisssions you do, that will never happen as you are the Super Admin. Be careful who you allow to change things in the Admin CP also. ;)

on the left hand menu, scroll down to Usergroups... expand the usergroups menu.. the last option is Administrator Permissions. Click on that and it will list all of the Admins and you can check the logs or edit their permissions.

The drop down allows me to edit his forum permissions but thats it. I can't seem to find anywhere else?

Boofo 02-14-2008 07:06 PM

Are you User ID 1?

bobster65 02-14-2008 07:24 PM

You might have to edit the config.php file and make yourself a Super Admin since it sounds like you are not User ID 1

terracore 02-14-2008 07:40 PM

oh

I logged in as my husband and was able to make the changes!

Thanks everyone. :)

Boofo 02-14-2008 07:49 PM

Ah, so he is the Super Admin then. That explains it. Glad you got it taken care of. ;)
