Remote login box - how to get to change to 'Welcome $username'
 

We've put a login box on a non-vbulletin page of our site and amended functions_login.php to ensure that uses are directed automatically to our forum home page when they complete the login box.

Here, the forum appears correctly with Welcome username in the standard place on the forum.

However, the remote login box (which is in our universal header template), stays as a blank login box and doesn't change to the 'Welcome username'. Does anybody have any ideas on what other files do we need to change to make this happen - what is the name of the cookie and session variable?

Any help would be appreciated!:o

You need to check if the user is logged in to hide/show the login fields. You can do this by including vBulletin's backend (global.php).
