How users could UPLOAD their images not using the ATTACH button?
 

Hi folks,

I have a problem: the members of my forum need post images from their computer. They usually use the ATTACH option, but the image is not displayed in the post (just a LINK in the bottom of the message itself).

I need something that ALLOW the users to UPLOAD the images from their computer but the images must be displayed in the MESSAGE (and not just the link mentioning there is a message attached).

Any help will be very appreciated.

Upload as normal, then use the [ attach] BB-code to place the image in the text where you want.

Also, check out vBoptions > Message Attachment Options > View Attached Images Inline

You may have that set to No. If you set it to Yes, then it will show the image.

It is, but i just see a THUMBNAIL in the bottom of the message, not the FULL image in the image itself.

vb is a GREAT but there is this problem in it,i ask about that before but no body answer to me!!!! in fact a big of vb problem is this point that you refer to it...when you cannot attach a picture you have 2 option: leache other site(it is not good )or upload your image to image hosts and it very deficalt to any body who want post .so in my mind vb need a hack that enable it to use attachment thumb in evry where of post that a user want.....and when a user clik it he can see the large image in juge box

If you are getting thumbnails, then what are your settings for:
Resize Images
and
Thumbnail Creation
?

Also, I think there is a setting in your config.php file:

$config['Misc']['maxwidth'] = 2592;
$config['Misc']['maxheight'] = 1944;

You attach a picture, then you can put those anywhere in a post with the [attach] tags, or through the "paperclip" on the editor toolbar.
