Users' own forums

I need something that lets a user run his own forum on my board and it needs to include a simple way for a user to set up and run his own forum with minimal admin interference.
I did this with permissions, but it's a +++++ everytime I need to configure a new forum.

Thanks,
PS

there is no other way than the one you already have to set people to have their own forum...

this script does not let you apply global permissions to administer a forum inside your forum, because of the license...

Ya well, I was thinking there might have been some mod to accomplish this w/o all that fuss.

Well first of all the software is meant for setting up multiple forums in a tree structure, but I know what you mean. Perhaps if you took a look at my website (link's in my signature) you'd understand what exactly is to be accomplished, and that it's all perfectly legit. ;)

So I take it no one has developed a mod/hack that deos anything similar to what I mentioned?

Sorry but looking at your forum i still don't understand what you mean. Please explain a bit more.

The sites main purpose is to be an rpg site for play-by-post. If you look at the "The Games" section you can see that each game is set in it's own forum on the board. I want one user to be able to do some "slight" moderation of one specific forum. The game master will organize his own game.

As I mentioned I did this with setting up special privileges and usergroups. One of the problems was that to give a user extra privileges he has to be considered a moderator, but the main issue is the amount of work for an admin to set it up.

I would like something that allows a user to make a request to have his own forum opened inside the main board with these slight extra privileges (basically just remove and edit posts). This request would then with a simple click in the moderation panel by a moderator be granted or denied.

Is there anything even similar to what I'm describing that I could have a look at?

Thanks for any help on this.

Not that i know of, and you must be carefull with how you set this up, it could quickly be considered multiple boards on 1 license (not allowed).

Well, as multiple forums is a feature in the software it's perfectly legit. What you're talking about is separate forums on the same board utilizing separate domains or sites which is not allowed.
What I'm saying is that what I'm doing is no different than having one "General" and one "Off Topic" forum. All I'm doing is trying to set it up so that users can easily keep their roleplaying discussions more organized. ;)
