Status Icon help please!

I'm new at this VB thing and I wanted to change the status icons (you know, the ones that show if a forum has new posts or not) and I cannot find out how to get to change it in the ADMIN CP. Also I was trying to install the trophies mod and I can't find the VB Directory. Can anyone help me? Anything is appriciated.

Status icons are held in the /forum/images/statusicon directory. If you want to change them, backup that directory, and then FTP the new status icons into that directory. Note that the filenames need to be the same. As to the vB directory, that is wherever you installed vBulletin. Your main vB directory is the /forum directory, where the showthread.php file resides.

I don't understand anything you said, I'm new at this.

Do you know how to operate an FTP client? If so, FTP into your site, and then traverse to the /forum/images/statusicon directory. Once there, you will see several images, one of which is named thread_dot_hot.gif, so you know you're in the correct directory. You need to take a backup of that directory, i.e., save the files to your local PC, and then FTP the new status icon images over to the sever. The main vB directory is the directory that contains the showthread.php file, among others.

Nope. Is there a way to get into that directory via the VB options area?

Who installed vB for you? You might want to contact him/her/them to help you with this.

I paid for pro-installation. Basically I contact VB?

Visit http://members.vbulletin.com/membersupport.php for official support options. vB has telephone support, if that works for you, and they also have the support ticket system, if you want to go that way instead.
