Facebook Integration
Just wanted to show of my new Facebook application.
For Facebook members, you can have a look here: http://apps.facebook.com/rightsideforum/ Basically, members can simply join at the click of a button and by setting up a password. They can then log in from facebook. Still a little bit of work to be done, but I think it could be a valuable tool for getting new members. What say you? |
actually, we need to get registered to facebook to only see your apps... so i would suggest some screenshots or something...
does your script require to be logged-in facebook to be able to see the content of it?! like if we are not registered there will be a login request to see the page?!... i see that much often when coders do not think of it, use ftp or something to display content ... if i remember correctly, Facebook will refuse that its content should be displayed on external websites... they have a license agreement and some privacy statements you can't avoid in that situation... |

2. No facebook content is displayed externally. It is basically a bridge between the two. But as I have already used the application and signed up via facebook, the screen changes. I'll see if I can get somebody else to get some caps for me before signing up. |
Thats excellent .... Will you be releasing this for others to use?

ok, so the thing you tell us is that someone is coding it for you and you will not be releasing it...
so, what's the goal in discussing it here?! |
How is this related to the topic of this forum? There is no programming discussion, just that you want to show what has been created for you?
|
To answer you both.
1. I know there has been plenty of interest in a bridge between the two. Plenty of designers have said it isn't possible, I wanted to show that it is. 2. As for 'sharing it' - I'd be happy to share it for free with anybody. As I said, I am not a designer so it's not a matter of me sharing secrets. If I know what I'm looking for, I'd be very happy to pass it on. It's no skin off my nose. It's your forum, if you wish to delete the thread, so be it. I have no reason to come and gloat here, I am trying to be helpful. |
Hi,
I have been looking for something like this too. It would be great if you could share some pieces of the code and/or tell us who did the integration for you and how much effort it was. What password would they use for that? |
