How to Merge all Forums

My main forum has seperate forums like

Main Forum
-lounge
-introduction

Second Forum
-cars
-planes

I want to end up with just ONE main forum

any idea how to merge it so i have less forums and just one.. can i merge all threads and posts to appear under one?

Just move all the threads from a forum you wish to get rid of into a forum you want to keep. You can do that in your Admin CP under Threads & Posts > Move and then delete the unwanted forum.

How do you think that will effect me from a search engine point of view? as the urls will all change right?

Sure there is no other way of doing it?

so you want to have:
Main Forum
-Lounge
-Introduction
-Cars
-Planes??

if thats it its easy admincp->forum manager->
then by example cars->edit -> change the parent forum to main (and change the displayorder as you want it) -> save

that should work and all your threads/posts moves with it

Hey there.. well yes and not quite

Yes For some of the forums i will do that but for others like

Trucks

I just want to take all the threads and posts and have them found when a person clicks on

Lounge

So i guess i just move them, remove trucks after and then hope the search engines dont zapp me :D:confused:

The thread url stays the same. Try it with one thread and see. It is only the forum id in the database that changes.
