Guest download limit
 
Been searching, (still am) looking for a hack/mod that will allow guests to view/download x amount of topics before they have to register.

The site i am on has a guest section and we put free downloads in each day, but i'd like to limit the number they download/view before they have to register...hope it makes sense

That would be extreme difficult and probably can never be made without being easy to fool. It is not really possible to identify 1 guest over multiple sessions.

Many people/guests can use the same IP.
The same guest can use a different IP on each pageload (AOL for example??)
