General top message according to the group
Hi,
I couldn't find this though I'm sure it's somewhere since used on this very website. How is it done on vBulletin.org that a message appears at the top for unverified members? I would like to be able to put various messages to members according to their user group. E.g. for guests to register, for registered users to upgrade to a premium membership, ... Thanks, Julien |
You could edit the FORUMHOME or header template and use the following conditional:
Code:
<if condition="is_member_of($vbulletin->userinfo, X)"> Also this feature is available in 3.7 if you are prepared to wait till the stable version is released. |
Thanks for info.
I cannot wait for the next version as I would like to deploy my forum asap and also because I use some mods that might not work anymore when moving to the next version. |
I have found a great mod that is giving different messages depending on groups or if user not registered, ...
It's called "Welcome Headers" mod. I modified that code to support all my groups and now I'm having what I needed to see. Thanks for the pointer. Julien |
