Advertising Paid Services

I personally don't believe this site should allow people to advertise paid-versions of modifications at other sites.

Not only is this not helping the community, but it's opening the door for people who wish to sell a product, but not provide the advertised service.

I think for the better of vBulletin.org, there should be a rule preventing people from selling modifications. I wish this site was used as a place to help fellow vBulletin users, not gain personal profit.

Thoughts?

Hum, you did not participate in the last debates about a paid section, isn't it ?!

each 6 or 7 months, someone is calling the shot to start a paid section, and each time, people are giving the opinion that it would not be good.. just like you're throwing now... the problem is that actually there is no debate, and there is no paid announcements here... so where did you take this ?!

and yes, there are rules about this... https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/info.php?do=rules second section...

If you take away a authors ability to post links to their pro versions, its quite simple... Lite versions will not exist and you will get nothing.

I'm pro pro, many of the pro mods I have gotten have been becuase of the lite version first.

I personally believe in Pro versions. Some of these mods take MONTHS to code.. I dont think that doing that for free should EVER be expected. I think the vb.org rules for linking are extremely fair to both the mod authors and the users who want premium mods.
