Remove "New Threads in Forum" pane for Closed Forums
 

My site layout is

Level 1: Category
-- Level 2: Closed but NOT acting as category
---- Level 3: Sub Forums (for posting).

I do it this way wanting the background of level 2 to match level 3...but when users click on a Level 2 Board there's a "Threads in Forum" pane below the listing of Sub Forums.

...How can I remove the "Threads in Forum" pane for boards that are Closed?
