After purchasing vBulletin, and registering at vbulletin.com, I tried to log in here. Obviously, I couldn't. Even after 7 days of asking for the user/password email to be sent, nothing. After twice leaving messages to the admin, nothing.

But in trying to register with another name using that password, it stated that password was already in use. I had to create a @hotmail account and use a different version of my name even be able to register with that email.

For $160.00, I expect better service than that. Waiting a week for admin response is not very professional.

Hi, LorinPotter, maybe there is delay to you request and bad understanding. the vBulletin staff are Professional but is to many request on software to resolve that they forget you but is resolved now? In the name staff we apoligyse.

I'm sorry you seem upset, but I think you need to understand that this site is not run by Jelsoft (vb) staff, and your vbulletin licence does not entitle you to any service from here. This site is run by volunteers, and as such our time is limited.

I dont quite understand what you mean by "7 days of asking for the user/password email to be sent" - Exactly who (and how) were you asking ?

Also - there there is no registration check on passwords - did you mean your e-mail by any chance.

Finally, Im one of the admins, and I have not seen any messages from you.

Actually, I can understand that being volunteers, you have many other things to attend too, explaining that on the registration form might help people understand delays in communication. Without that, I thought this was ran by Jelsoft, with paid employeers, even when I asked for help in the vbulletin.com, the did not explain your site was all volunteer. So, I do offer you an apology for my misunderstanding.

I did mean email address instead of password. Somewhere in the registering process, is states to email Administrator with issues, that's where I left 2 messages, 2 or 3 days apart from each other.

Other than that, this is a fantastic source of information, plug-ins and hacks. Well ran, and well organized. The only reason that I left my one complaint here is there seemed no where else to bring up the issue.

I always admired your Wisdom but in this case, whichever the situation or conditions, there's a pleasure to say: 'Sorry, I will make sure this wouldn't happen again...' is called ethics ;)
