Serverpoint.....
 
Does anyone have any experience with using Serverpoint as a webhost?

We're looking at their basic VPS package right now, we've had far too many problems with our current host (dreamhost) and need to move. Wanted to know if anyone had any experience with Serverpoint or if you had another host that you could recommend.

there are many VPS hosts you could check out such as A Small Orange, and Power VPS, i've had experience with both, and both are equally as awesome.

i actually have 7 clients which were on your same dreamhost server, they asked to move, and they are all on HostGator now, for the same kind of bundle, and they are happy... one is always having a lot of problems with his custom site, but the guys at HostGator are helping when possible... compared to dreamhost, his account is not suspended each time he have a peak...

If you want the same servers as HotGator just get it from who they resell through, thePlanet.

Personally, anything is better than DreamHost. I suggest contacting Crissic Solutions (www.crissic.com) as they do custom VPS (their website says they aren't selling any but they will sell per request. You can do live support, ticket support, or phone I believe)

Actually, you may not even need a vps provider yet...how many users are you getting online at one time?

It maybe a waste of money. DreamHost does oversell big time therefore you'll get crappy service. They promise way too much for just so little. Not only does dreamhost does this but hostgator does it too. so it's really sad. For vps i reconmend you try: IGCHosting, or NetXservers
