I would like a hack that will work on C3 and future versions that will allow me to force all new threads (starting posts) to be modified and allow all replies to just be posted.

I was using this:

but..am suspicious of it crashing my database today. Any other ideas?

My code is not going to corrupt your database. It makes no modifications to the database nor does it access the database directly.

All it does is make an existing variable equal a true value. Which is subsequently entered into the database as if the command didn't exist.

I have been using this code modification or one very similar to it since vBulletin 1.1.3 and have not experienced a corrupted table in MySQL yet.

No shots intended.
