News/thread on custom pages?

Is there a way to add say 1 specific forums post to a custom VB page?
I use custom Vb pages (click my Sig link for the details) for my index page etc.. I'd like to be able to display posts from specific forums here. Any ideas where I can find information pertaining to this?
