Wrapping entire forum in table with 2 columns

I'm trying to add a column to each side of my forum but I want to basically have the columns outside the forum display table. I want them to go all the way to the top on each side with the forum in the middle.

I'm trying to put a table around them, here is the code i'm trying but not having success with.
