UF - Forum Updates on Homepage! (Updates come from posts in a specified thread)

Forum Home Updates pulled from a specific thread.
That should explain it, if not there's screen shots.

This mod will allow you have a table of updates on the forum home. These updates come from a thread you have created, all you have to do is put the ID of thread in options.
Each update will show the title, date, username and the update itself.
You could of course use this for things other than updates, but this is what it was designed for.

Installation.
  1. Import the product
  2. Find the following in the FORUMHOME template:
    Code:

    $header
    $navbar

  3. Add under:
    Code:

    $homeupdates
  4. Configure the options in "Forum Updates Options" under vbulletin options.

I'd love some feedback at least to know that others have it working :D

wud this actually push the categories and forums to the bottom of the page? that wudnt be so good visually :(

alexgeek 01-17-2008 10:03 PM

Not really push it, just sits above it.
You can put the table wherever you want though, move $homeupdates to where you want to appear. ;)

Can this be displayed on pages other then FORUMHOME?

alexgeek 01-18-2008 11:22 PM

Yeah, but you'd have to change to the location of the forumhome_complete hook to global.
I put it in forumhome_complete for efficiency :)
