Selling My Site.
 

Hello,

So I am ready to sell my whole website.

I just have one question, the whole site is ran on vBulletin Software, I was just wondering how it works.

Because I thought that selling a site with vB software on it was illegal?

If I am allowed to sell it do I just give him my customer number and password?

The vBulletin licence can be transferred to somebody else, you just need to submit a support ticket to the vBulletin.com staff. You will need a years ful license of upgrades/support (I'm sure this is required, but the support staff should give you more details).

Only Owned Licenses are transferable (and then only if the license hasn't previously been transferred for at least a year). Do not give whomever purchases your site YOUR Customer # and Password, issue a ticket through your Member's Area and request that the license be transferred.
