how to make "robot member" appear online permanently?
 

I have created a member which is basically a robot, this robot member welcomes new members, congrats members when they reach certain milestones, reports spam in a spam forum for admins, it does all these different things using various plugins.

What I'd like is for this robot member to always appear online... I figured it might be possible using a cronjob... but I am not sure how to log it in and keep it logged in...

It's just weird to have it welcome members but appear offline and it's last activity date left at some date from weeks/months back... I'd like that all to appear as a regular member if possible.

Easiest would be to just edit the template and add this name as text (with link if you want)

I'm not sure what you mean... this "member" is set up like all other members, I'd just like it to stay logged in so that it's last activity stays update and the online indicator stays on.

There is a mod about fake stats, just search "fake" and you will find it. This mode allows you to set any Name as online.
