I just learned how easy it is to embed Youtube video in an HTML page.

Is it possible to set up custom vB code to enable this inside my forum in a thread?

A search for youtube here on the site would return plenty of results for hacks that have this feature built into them along with numerous other embedded video from other sites.

Does your answer mean it isn't as easy as patching in a dozen lines of simple HTML that is made into custom vB code. (I am a newby)?

There are already numerous hacks that do this for you and there is no need to patch any html code in.
