Is there a Hack that can....

Hi,

Is there a hack that will allow me to create a list of relevant posts from a long thread, then list them as contents in a drop down box, to allow people to find stuff more easily?

I've searched the hacks, but can't fine this one, or at least, not under the terms that I've searched for :)
