UnusualArtists.com

Hi there,

I just released 2 new styles on my site since the old ones were hurting my eyes. I'm hoping to get some feedback on the design. Colors, eye strain rating and stuff like that. Default style is the dark one UADark2(My fav) and then the light one UALight2. Got to love those original names.

One note: The navbar bg breaks (tiles) in a couple places but it actually broke in a good way in my opinion so I left it. You can notice it most on the side the calendar in the event forums. I mean I could have changed that bg but. :p

Site: Unusual Artists
URL: http://www.unusualartists.com (Default)
Light Theme: http://www.unusualartists.com/?styleid=6

Thanks and Happy Holidays
Jaks

You need to alow users to select different themes, I can see the default theme (which looks good imo) but the "light theme" is not visible to me.

OOPS I'll fix that right now. lol Thanks :)

Edit: Weird thing is that it is set properly. I'll try and figure out what's going on. :( I did some tests and I can see it after logging out. Not sure why you can't.

Now it works. You did a very nice job on those skins, the only thing that I would change is the location of the second navbar...or at least the google ads in between the navigation links. Someone could accidentally click one of the google ad links and leave your site and never come back. That is just an odd location to place ads imo. Otherwise good job!

Well thanks for the feedback. I'm not sure what the issue was because I found nothing wrong with the settings. Probably just a hiccup somewhere lol.

Those ads in the navbar like that are my biggest money makers. I make 70% more off of those 4 links than all the rest combined. Hopefully they like my site enough to use that back button. lol The second best is in the forum display that look like new posts.

The reason for the top navbar is to get the keywords up to the top of the page. I guess I could add a text block in the header opposite of the logo or something though. The header is my biggest issue. I just can't wrap my head around making it more inviting.
