TC - Photo Of The Day (Photoplog)
 

Info:
This mod has been tested on PhotoPlog: The Lite Gallery and 0ptima's hack vbGallery Addon: Photo of the Day. I have converted that hack into a product and to a file upload. Settings are now in the admin area under vbulletin options.

If you use vbGallery Addon: Photo of the Day and like something like this with the settings and such I was thinking about making one but as I don't use vbGallery I have no need but will if others are interested. Just let me know.

Requirements:

• vBulletin 3.7.0 Beta 3
• Photoplog Lite or Photoplog Pro

Features:

• On/Off Enable or Disable Mod
• On/Off Close Thread After Post
• Ability To Add Default Title To Post
• Forum Selector
• Ability To Choose Who Posted
• Ability To Choose What Category The Images Come From
• Ability To Select Min Amount Views Required
• Lite & Pro Version Automatic Dectection
• Choose size of image in post

Coming Soon:

• Ability To Choose New Thread Or Reply To Current Thread (May be delayed having issues with figuring datamanager for posting to a thread)
• Choose Thread ID (Delayed as part of feature above)

Installation:

• Import XML File (As A Product): AdminCP > Plugin System > Manage Products > [Add/Import Product]
• Upload tc_potd.php into the cron dir

Notes:

• This is my first hack and new to php & mysql and there is a good chance there are bugs that need to be fixed. I would appreciate any input on how to clean code up and so on and even get someone to help code more options.
• To set hack options go to: AdminCP > vBulletin Options > TC - Photo Of The Day

niceeeeeee is it just me or the site demo is not workin

Well for some reason the .com domain has been acting up. I haven't been able to determine why it goes out from time to time as all my other domains seem to work on that same server and all my domains I go through enom so not sure if it is dns or what I have that domain registered as a .org and .net as I got those later on and havent made it so you can browse fully using those as it calls for most images by the .com domain so if the .com is not working there are going to be broken images.
*After I posted this I went and checked the site out and it is up and running using the .com domain and I changed the url for live to point directly to the forum itself.

You using pro? This should automatically set a cron to run once a day and submits a new thread then with a pic. If there is no picture to be posted nothing should post. I plan on having an option to have a post say no new pictures to pick a potd from.

thanks alot. first time releasing anything and new to coding but vbulletin makes it lot easier it seems. Feedback and suggestions are welcome and will try to support this as much as possible.

what error do u get? I reuploaded the zip file as i may have uploaded the wrong one.

I have now bought and tried the pro version and it appears to have worked correctly. Remember if you have any issues please give details other than you have had an error. Please tell me when you encountered the error and what the error said if anything was said. To see if this works without waiting for a day to go by, I would suggest to go to your Admincp->Scheduled Tasks->Scheduled Task Manager and find TC - Photo Of The Day (Photoplog) and click run task.
