Act as forum option...totally messed up
 

Hey guys,

Im having a issue with the Act as forum option under the Forum manager section.....when i turn this option to no....so no one can post there.....I get some images tiling across the section

I have enclosed 2 pics of whats happening

any advice would be great

If you want to stop posting in that forum you should set forum is open to no. Setting act as forum to no makes it a category, although that shouldn't produce the images you are seeing. I would suspect a hack is causing the imaging issue. You might try disabling them one at a time until you locate the culprit.

I have sub forums under the "category's" I just did'nt want them to be able to post in the top forum....maybe theres another way to do this besides....selecting the option act as category

because i really dont want to disable any of the hacks

If you want it to act as a category then set "Act as Forum" to No.

If you want it to act as a forum but not allow posts to be made there then set "Act as Forum" to Yes and Forum is Open to No
