Hi when you install a language pack, its translates most of the forum except forum threads and forum posts.

Is there a mod or something i can install which translates EVERYTHING. Including posts and threads. So pretty much anyone with any language can use the forum.

Where could i get something like this? Or request it.

Also i found a forum that does this. So it is possible

When you install a language pack, it does not "translate" your forum. It just adds entries to the vBPhrase table, which allows you to define a translation.

So, language packs can only translate things that are phrased, and is the reason why most people want coders to phrase their packages...

But do you know any third software parties or mods that could translate the WHOLE forum including threads and posts?

There are translators that work through online. I think BabelFish and Google Translators are a few... They provide basic translation on the spot of an entire site.

I could use google but the problem is. If a french person replyed to a thread he would reply in french and the english person would not be able to read it. Unless of course both used the translator. So i was looking for some kind of software to translate and covert everything into the language that the user wanted. Even posts. I think its a neat idea if its not created it. That way anyone from anywhere in any language could use it

I very much doubt such a mod exsists and even if one does then I doubt even more that it would be free. It would have to be a very extensive modification with large lanugage database and some pretty good code to recognise sentences and cases and all that stuff.

Just state rules on your board and ask people to post in English (like here at vB), you may lose a few users but most people who don't speak English as their native language are still pretty good at it.

Did you ever try to read an automated translation? ;)
