Productid?
 
hey im working on a mod and i wonder what i should write in productid?

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?><product productid="HERE" active="1">

its some numbers in the most product but i wanna know what i should write there? does it matter?

You shouldn't be physically writing the Product XML. You should be filling out the Product ID, Product Title, etc. fields through the Product Manager in the AdminCP - and then Exporting the Product XML.

How about the name of your product?

eg:-
this_is_my_product_a
or
this_is_my_product_b

Something like that.

It should be something unique to you. For example in all my modifications I prefix the product id with "kirky_".

In the past I have always used paulm_yyyymmdd - I'm not sure what I'm going to use for 3.7 yet.
