Avatar not displaying after upgrade

Hello

After upgrade VB from 3.0.1 to lastest 3.6.8 p2, my forum did not display any avatar

I am using VB default template of vb3.6.8 p2, when revert I get "nothing to do" , avatar still can not display, I view source of forum and saw:

Did you remember the step in the upgrade that said if you have your images in the files section you must move them back into the database and then back to the filesystem? I think you have to do that because they store them using a different system now.

I did not remember that step, so if I lost that Step, what can I do now to let avatar display, how redo that Step ??
