problems with Search
A user recently reported to me that he couldn't search on anything less than 4 characters.
I found in the vBulletin documentation & in the forums the minimum search length setting, and I have updated that to 3. I also read that after updating that value, I need to rebuild my search indexes. I did that. When I search on a 3-letter phrase that I know is used frequently, nothing returns in my search. On a random tangent, I have also read a few things about the SearchIndex & Word tables probably being the largest 2 tables in the database. I don't have a "SearchIndex" table, and my "Word" table is empty. Lastly, I can't find a "badwords.php" file anywhere. I'm at a loss for what to try next. I'm running 3.6.7 PL 1. Thanks for any help you can offer, -Brian |
