Mysql Replication

Is anyone using mysql replication and the built in VB settings for that? Any tricks or tips? Problems?

The only problem I have had tinkering with it, is when the slave goes down or gets restarted, sometimes the slave doesn't start and the forum just sits there looking stupid until I notice it..
