Threads are loading slowly

For some reason, threads are loading a bit slowly on my board.

I've got 28 queries executing on the showthread page and Page Generation is 0.19648 seconds.

Could this be a problem?

The issue would be the server being slow. You could try removing some mods to help compensate.

if it's just the threads it's probably some mods that you installed for that page .. I suggest disabling the mods and see if it continues

28 queries - yep, you have modifications running on that page

.19 seconds is not *that* long for a page to load. You may want to verify that it isn't just you though. (Sometimes my ISP is flaky and the speeds go way down and it seems like my site is slow, but then I verify it is every site and I know it is my ISP!)

how can we see queries? the higher the better? or lower?

In order to see the queries you need to turn on debug mode. It will show for everyone though, so you may want to look at some hacks to only show it to you or the admin usergroup. Or, you can turn it on, go to a page to see the queries and then turn it off.

Your server load averages are not bad. Again I'll ask if you are sure it is your site that is slow and not your own computer or ISP.

The load averages you posted are fine for most servers. Is your server only loading pages slowing during certain times? You should get the load averages at that time. And are you are a shared server?
