An easy way to record frequency of member visits
 

I would like to accomplish a few goals.
They "seem" simple enough but doesn't everything...UNTIL you try to do it.

Simply put...I would like to record the frequency of members visits.

Ideally, there would be two fields, a date stamp field indicating when the counting started and another field indicating the number of visits since that date.

There would be an option to reset the start date and count for a particular usergroup or member(s)

It seems that right after a successful log in, it would be simple update these data fields.

Doesn't that sound terribly easy?

I *think* what you want to do is in the login script, if a new session is required, then you add to the count. I'm pretty sure that every time you visit, you get a new session id and that session id stays valid throughout your visit. I didn't look into this, but it's a place to start.
