Your site seems to take a long time to load for me. I have a 10 mbps cable connection (actually tests at 9845 kbps right now) and it took over 30 seconds to load the page. I would suggest breaking up your tables and moving the statistics module to the bottom to allow Google to get into your topics quicker and easier. Also give your forums some descriptions. Google like to see some actual content on pages, not just a bunch of links. The more content you have the more interesting things are and the more often you are indexed.

Finally start a backlink campaign to get people to link to your site. This is truly the key for better rankings. The more links you have from similar content sites with interesting content then the more search engines will swarm your content.

How do i get people to backlink to my site?
do they just have to put the url on their pages or do they need a banner?

Text links with specific keywords work best.
