Importing Photopost into vb3.7
 

Now that vb3.7 is going to have its own gallery, maybe I can finally do away with Photopost. However, I have thousands of Photopost images with comments on every one. Perhaps someone will make an importer?

Yes indeed. This would be nice. Or even better - A way to make them play well together and compliment one another.

There is not much point in asking this until 3.7 is released.

Yeah, let's ask the competition how to replace their own product.

And don't ask for features during the design stage.

At least for vBGallery I know Zachariah has a few ideas on how to do that. Don't know if Michael is planning anything similar for PhotoPost Pro.

vB might develop something that competes with PhotoPost in the future, but the profile albums in 3.7 is not it. 3.7's changes will not let you duplicate anywhere near the functionality available in PhotoPost, not the least of which is a global gallery of categories and subcategories that people can browse. 3.7 only integrates a personal album into profile pages - that's it.

That being said, we're already looking at duplicating 3.7's functionality in PhotoPost, so that you won't miss 3.7's new personal profile album features.

Any news about this?

This is a big priority for us - our developers are working on it. Look for something within the next couple of months.

Rest assured as well, we will be competing fully with any full gallery that vbulletin eventually releases - we have had 7 years to develop hundreds of UI and admin features for PhotoPost. There is no way that vbulletin can compete with us in terms of features any time soon, and we intend to offer the same level of integration into vb, as vb's own profile album or full featured gallery. As required, we'll compete on price as well.

Then why is it that PP isn't NEARLY as easy to use or admin as some of the free scripts, and doesn't even have several important features that others have?
