Why is the dollar value so bad?

Seriously this is getting out of control.

Every other country has better dollar value then the US.

Why is our country going under so bad?

Idea's?

Might have something to do with the fact that we're fighting a war at the moment. Well that and the fact that we've shipped off a ton of jobs elsewhere (China I'm looking at you). We've done it to ourselves that's for damn sure.

Keysian economics/federal reserve, socialist policies, "can I get a 4th mortgage please?", "war" on drugs, "war" on "terror", etc.

Low interest rates, too much debt and a huge trade deficit.

.. the american dream is costly...

check our own... there is no Canadian Dream, so our dollar is not changing.. lol

Fiat money system, central banking (as Truth Elixer said, federal reserve), low interest rates creates a false sense of wealth and very little savings which in turn can and has create entitlements, ridiculous trade agreements, war on terror, war on individual liberty and open transparent competition creates an unease in the market place, erosion of property ownership, corporations and markets trying to escape our current tax system and find cheaper labor abroad, IRS, embedded taxes and compliance costs, inflation due to all of this.

...And a partridge in a pear tree!

It's honestly sad. I think the USA is just headed a deep hole and it's going to take a long time for all of us to get out of the hole. :[

Then if you're over 18 get out and vote in every election. Only by voting can you tell people you're not going to take it anymore. Traditionally the US has low voting turnouts. From as low as 6% in local elections to about 35% in presidential elections. There is no reason not to vote. If you can't get to polls on election day then request and absentee ballot. If you are disabled then request a permanent absentee ballot.

The problem is that people don't affect change in this country and allow an elite few to remain in control.

Well the real problem is people who are democrat vote ONLY democrat, and people who are republican ONLY vote republican. They don't look at who is going to be good, what there believes are, if they are going to be a leader or not, They only vote for there party. See people need to stop voting that way and take a approach from both sides. Look at there believes and understandings of things. If people would do that then we wouldn't have idiots in office (not saying the president) I am talking about congress and everyone else.

Heck they are trying to make the World Wide Web not neutral anyone! Something is wrong way wrong!

If we did away with Government Parties I think it would be a great idea. Meaning no more Democrat campaign, no more Republican campaign it would be the person who is running campaign and everyone would refer to them by there name not the democrat group or republican group.
