Problem with code tags

Well on my forum when i use code tags the tables are really narrow

Code:

| .......................... |<- This is how wide my code tags are, any idea how i can change or fix this?

Step One:
Log into your admin CP

Step two:
Go to Style Manager

Step three:
On the style that this problem is occuring, click on the dropdown menu and select StyleVars

Step four:
Find this:

Quote:

Code Block Width (pixels)
(This value controls the width of [code], [php] and [html] bbcode blocks. You may set this value to 'auto', but if you do, Internet Explorer will stretch the width of the block rather than inserting a scrollbar.)

Step Five:
Change the value in the input box to "auto"

Thats right, not a dimension number, not a width percentage, simply put the word "auto" in there.
