Error Reports, hope it will help. :)
I have the arcade set to de-bug mode. So i hope these errors will be of help to you, ZeroPage
Error #010 (this error happens when the score is not sent to the database, and the player tries to re-submit the score twice, and this does not go away from that particular game unless the user reloads arcade.php Because when the user does this attempt, they have no way of getting back to the original game in which the score was not properly submitted. This has been tested on 7 different forums, 7 different servers, with 7 different configurations. this can be reproduced by the following means.
#23 no session (my forums is set to expire after 90 minutes of in-activity) but the maximum time a player has spent playing a game is 60 minutes) This could only be re-produced on forums running alot of queries been sent back and forth, especially numerous users within the arcade, and especially if you have the arcade linked to any credit system.
Error #011 (can not reproduce this problem) |
on error#010 this is all normal, nobody should reload the page or anything like this, the arcade stops this as a cheating-attempt.
If connection gets broken, same result and normal behaviour. About error#023: -> multiple windows and browsers is normal, you are only allowed to have ONE instance of the arcade at once -> same for different accounts using same IP and broken games only problem known is IE7 - I still got no idea what is the difference to all other browsers including IE6 which was working fine... Does anybody have an idea what IE7 is doing here ? |
Ya,
we encountered a problem when running the arcade within IE 7, but it was only within MS Vista. Mainly because of the new feature, The new security zone protection feature that is called Protected Mode. As ya know, this sets up a separate cache than the regular one. As well as any cookies from that page. Protected mode is enabled by default, so turning this off helps. So it seemed to us. Or by adding it to the trusted site list. ??? |
any idea how to work with this ?
I noticed some problem that IE7 does not call the verify_score function before saving the score, no idea why this is not done correctly... |
