Updated Attach Icons
 

Well, this isn't a really important thing, but I just went ahead and updated the "attach" icons that came with the default vbulletin.

Files included are the following:

• bmp.gif
• doc.gif
• gif.gif
• jpe.gif
• jpeg.gif
• pdf.gif
• psd.gif
• rar.gif
• tif.gif
• tiff.gif
• txt.gif
• zip.gif

The updated icons come from their respective "creator" of the program that uses those (e.g RAR files use whatever is the latest WinRAR version icon).

For image files (e.g PNG), they use the respective vista image icons (e.g png file uses vista PNG icon) (I'm using a vista skin on my XP right now, and I'm pretty sure they are vista icons)

Easy installation for those who aren't sure how (o.o)
Upload this file to the following directory, which should start as your forum directory.
images/attach (Yes it WILL overwrite, so be careful if you don't want to lose some of your own customized icons)
An example of what the right directory might look like, it may look like:
public_html/forum/images/attach

To make it appear in your attachments, simply create permission to upload whatever the file type is (do this in admincp > attachments > attachment manager).

When you create that, to check it works, try and make a new thread, click on Manage Attachments, and if it worked right, that filetype icon should appear next to the file extension.

NOTE: I did not update ALL of the icons that came with vBulletin, only the ones that show up as default with the attachment manager (I think I might have let one or two of them slide though)

Can anyone point me to have one for Excel file (xls) ? I wish the icon is there by default... :)

Is it possible to provide icons for the other office programms like access, publisher and windows media video too?
