Can I Install a fresh copy of vb and import old posts?
I want to upgrade to the latest version of vb, but I have too many plugins to go through. Can I install a fresh copy of vb and import all the old posts/attachment/user info from the db?

You don't need to import any vBulletin data to your new version. Basically disable all the products / plugins you have and back up your data and then follow the upgrading instructions.

Yes, but I would have to reapply all the template edits and migrate my plugins to the new version, which is why I wanted to know if I can import all the existing data into a new installation.

you could just import your database
however. templates are stored in the database, so when you import the database you will also import your template edits |
Remove or turn off your plugin's/products.... then upgrade.
Those items that you want to re-install, just follow the template edits again. What your saying really makes no sense..... |
