Multiple vBulletin with Single Userbase

Is it possible to have multiple vBulletin forums share a single userbase? So for example, if someone registers on one of the forums it syncs across the other forums? Or have a single page where they register and that userbase is used for all other forums. Also, single-sign on across all the forums, such as if I sign on one forum, and since the userbase is the same, I am automatically signed into the other forum when I go to it. I know this is a LOT of things I am requesting, but I can see a huge advantage that others might also find it useful.

Thanks again in advance!

Yes it's possible. Is it a lot of work? Yes. Does vB natively support it? No.

Would you be interested in helping to develop this?

This is kinda what I'm working on now, but it's at a stand still do to the fact no one wants to help me out.

Now what I'm wondering is how to do this so that the data base you install the 2nd, 3rd... forums you set up the data bases call back to the main one on the original data base.

It is a lot of work like Analogpoint said. I've been working for months now and still haven't gotten it to work properly. Mind you I'm only in stage one because after I get vBulletin to work with it I have a bunch of other forums systems to work on.

go and say it at vb.com, because there is more of us wanting this feautre.
I believe this is sensitve add-on that can not be easily maintained if it is not in the core...n

Its true many of us wanting this feature but I don't think Vb guys here ever want to allow it because it may affect the sales of their software license. I think it was in their TOS or something, I read about this before.

It wouldn't affect sales...you'd still have to purchase a license for each domain regardless of which db tables it used :p

You may want to instead consider creating a custom script which will instead add the User to all the forums that you want with just a single script. Again it would also involve some work especially with cookies and that, I'm not to sure about those. However it may be easier then editing the core vB files.
