2 domains, 2 hosts, 1 DB ??

is there a script out there ... to make it possible running
VB under 2 domains ?

like have 1 VB installed ... and the other one works as slave under another domain ..
but access users, posts , * from the first one ... ??

but links should not point back to the first one ...

(its for a localizing issue to ingrerease speed for local members .. and keep performace for the rest of the world on the US-Host)

You could get 2 licenses and then share the same databases between them.

does it require a 2nd lizense? Having like eu.forum.tld and asia.forum.tld, well if its solve the problem then i not mind getting another lizense. Its more the issue to have no links refer back to the oposite host, all attachments and files in the db Already.

Hmm, ya i read something that it's legal to run it because it's off the same database. I would go check into that. Haha, that would be a good way to grow a forum :p Anyone got the low down on this?

Watch out for duplicate content issues with Google.

Apart from the license question - you can setup MySQL replication (if used as DB) and replicate the tables you need in a Master <- -> Master setup between the 2 databases keeping some tables local.

This would require 2 licenses. Its 2 seperate installations, however u still have to share a database across the world and that isnt gonna work any better. The replication time between the 2 is gonna be killer.
