Adding options to forums?

I need to add one member field to the forum admin, and a few booleans (yes/no), and a text/bbcode field to the Forum Admin(of a single forum). How would I go about doing that, and how would I be able to access them on the forum's page?

I also need to know how to edit administrator settings through other ways than the admin CP, such as a form in another place on the site.

If anyone could help me with this that would be great, it is really important to bring my site to the next level. I am aware this needs custom coding.

No one posted yet so I'll explain, this is probably confusing?

I want to make 'Forum Leaders' for certain forums. If the current user is equal to the 'Forum Leader' option, then show the mini-admin panel for that forum. The mini-admin panel contains some extra controls, and icon/description/etc for that forum only, which I want the user to be able to use to edit the real settings.

Bump.

I'm talking about the setup for each forum, like where "Act as Forum" is.

I want to add a few new fields. Specifically "Forum Leader" (user), "Use Custom Header" (boolean + 2 image src's), "Use Custom Icon" (boolean + image src).

When a user browses the forum in question, it would check if they are = to Forum Leader, if so a mini-admin box would be shown at the bottom which has power over the settings added, and a few other built-ins such as Forum Description and Make Private.

I want to do this because my forum is made up of separate mod projects and I want to give the author's a little extra power to make it a better experience for them and a easier job for myself.

Please? Modders must do this a lot... (except the external admin part)
