My view on corporations

What do you think of big world dominant corporations? Do you think they are truly for the greater good of mankind?

Before anyone would jump on me and label me as a commie I would like you to see a little movie I prepared: http://youtube.com/watch?v=Bmevc7Az0Ok

Tell me what you think, and what points did I miss, or didn't miss.

Ciao :)

dominant corporation just bought the company providing this forum software, so it would be unpleasant that you say it is crap.. lol

And they also brought DELL, Youtube, Marlboro, and Windows Movie Maker, which were needed to finish the video. But that's not the point if I used them to tell the message.

yeah, that's not the point... sure...

you know, you can continue to use the free open-source tools if you are so against corporations... see the difference, the service, the support, the design, the uses, the compatibilities, etc...

oh, sorry to break your enthousiasm :p

It is not the point if I have to use them or not due to lack of alternatives for 1000000 million reasons.

Anyhow, please do not drift the topic from its main purpose, and treat the subject in question rather than me :)

i think you did not read the topic's title here... i read "MY view" ... so yes, i treat YOUR view on corps...

the fun is that you're not in the best place to start that kind of debate if you are biased...

Of course I am biased, I'd be lying if I were not. I presented my view, please present yours instead of attacking me personally :) So far I've only seen you trying to criticize ME personally instead of the idea I am mentioning. This only shows a lack of understanding from your side of what a debate is really about. But then again, I don't blame you.

Large corporations can be a good thing for the consumer. For example, intel and amd, and the prices of processors which have been lowered significantly due to the two rivals wanting each others piece of the market. Remember when intel dominated the market and how they could set their own prices because there were no competition? when processors were priced much higher back in the good ole days (when really, the good ole days weren't that good) not for people like you and I who wanted fairly priced processors to power our computers.

Though yes, I think you should slow down the scrolling text for us short sighted users on your video. Just a little constructive criticism.
