Advice for new forums

About 3 weeks ago I've installed my forum (www.techlifeforums.com). Does anyone have some advice for new forums? Like how to get visitors on your site (and having them register). And does anyone have some experiences with starting and raising a forum?

Affiliating and advertising doesn't hurt either. Pretty much any way you can to get the word out to potential members.:)

Skin it up, mod it down. Make your site stand out from the 101 others covering the same topics. :) The big question to ask yourself is "why would someone want to join my site?"

As someone aboave has already stated content, content, and then some more content :)

The problem with potential members is they become members and then start demanding things :eek:
